Dr. James Williams
Dr. James Williams received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Albion College. He graduated from the University of Detroit School Of Dentistry in 1981. Shortly thereafter he opened a dental practice in the area and after 36 years retired in early 2017. Dr. Williams became semi-retired when Dr. Shorez asked him to help part-time in his Flushing practice. He is pleased to be helping patients again and to be working alongside Dr. Shorez’s well-trained and friendly staff. Dr. Williams is a member of MDA, ADA, AGD and the Genesee District Dental Society. Outside dentistry, his interests include race walking, bicycling, golfing and traveling.
David M. Shorez, D.D.S.Associate
Dr. David Shorez completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan Flint, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Medical Technology with a minor in Chemistry. In 2012, he graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Dr. Shorez enjoys woodworking, running, golfing and traveling. In 2011, he traveled to Honduras for a dental missionary trip, which he found very humbling and rewarding. Dr. Shorez is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Genesee District Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Natalya A. Brezden, D.D.S. - Associate
Dr. Natalya Brezden completed her undergraduate studies at Wayne State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 1989, she graduated from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she worked for two years as an associate dentist in Yale, Lapeer and Grand Blanc. In September 1991, she began practicing dentistry in Flushing, Michigan. Dr. Brezden is a member of the American Dental Society, Michigan Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry.
Jennifer M. Shorez, D.D.S.Associate
Dr. Jennifer Shorez completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biopsychology and Cognitive Science. In 2012, she graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, receiving the Russell W. Bunting Periodontal Society Award. In May 2011, she provided dental treatment to residents of rural La Reforma, Guatemala, completing cleanings, sealants, fillings and extractions with fifteen other University of Detroit Mercy classmates. Additionally, during dental school, Dr. Shorez conducted research by evaluating children’s behavior while having fillings completed on molars. In May 2012, she shared these research findings at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Annual Session in San Diego, California. Following graduation, Dr. Shorez completed a one-year General Practice Residency in dentistry at the Ann Arbor Veterans Administration Hospital, providing her with advanced education and training in dentistry to hone techniques and gain immense experience in a patient population with diverse and complex needs. She very much enjoyed working with these patients. Beyond dentistry, she loves dogs, traveling, running and spending time with her family. Dr. Shorez is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Genesee District Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. She looks forward to meeting and working with all of you!
